DAZN is a global sports subscription streaming service. They are rumoured to be buying BT Sport as I type, and to mark Rossi's retirement put together a documentary with the likes of Biaggi, Stoner, Lorenzo and Melandri lifting the lid on their rivalries with him. The program, RiVale, was aired last Sunday, during which Lorenzo talked about Marquez' mindset of revenge against Rossi, motivated by the clashes at Termas and Assen in 2015. He went on to say that in his opinion, after Assen, The SFB decided he would do anything to prevent Rossi winning the title. Now.. this is big news, and I can't wait to hear what Marquez has to say, but have you read anything on English speaking website's the last week? Me neither.. Of course, it could be that journalist who told us Rossi was just playing mind games - because he wasn't fast enough to beat Lorenzo - want to sweep it under the carpet and avoid criticism of a spin agenda by not reporting the story.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkGod185yFESuzi Perry mentioned the documentary during the commentary ( I'm sure Hodgson is knocking her off) and said it would be shown later in the year. Keep your eyes peeled for it on BTsport.

If you get a few day's warning please post. I'll sign up for BT for a month just for the documentary!

BT SPORT 2: Sat 4th Dec. 17:15 to 18:15. Valentino Rossi Special - looks back at his career. I think this will be a home produced BT effort, and is not the DAZN programme discussed.

Match fixing in sport is relatively rare, pleased to say. Of course when things are discovered, recent examples athletics, horse racing, snooker authorities take firm actions against those. Valencia 2015 will always be remembered as the day Motogp was damaged and lost all credibility because it did nothing. It was all the more astounding during the post-race interview to the world’s media that Lorenzo admitted he thought his compatriots from a rival team helped him to keep the title in Spain! Dorna (Spanish) took no action at all and have never commented on it. They prioritised something other than integrity and gifted a world championship title to someone knowingly in those circumstances which ruined Motogp from that day. Under the circumstances, at the very, least an investigation should have been seen to have taken place. HRC data for both bikes should have been requested. If it was seen that Marc was sat there on tick over all race and if data showing Dani’s riding slowed from when he was ready to pass (it did) then the race result should have been void.
